How It Works

Scoring Algorithm

Launch Readiness scores are calculated using a weighted average across five scoring dimensions:

Category Weight What It Measures
Content Quality 25% Title length (40-80 chars), description quality, highlights with metrics, action verbs
SEO Optimization 15% Keyword density, AWS service mentions, optimal lengths for search visibility
Compliance 20% Required fields, pricing information, support details, AWS submission requirements
Competitive Position 20% Unique value propositions, free trial availability, differentiators vs. benchmarks
Market Fit 20% Use case clarity, target audience definition, AWS service integrations

Score Thresholds

Listings are categorized into readiness levels based on their total score:

Score Range Status Indicator
90-100 Excellent Green badge
70-89 Ready to Launch Green
50-69 Needs Work Yellow
0-49 Not Ready Red

Launch Threshold

The default "Ready to Launch" threshold is 70. Listings scoring 70+ with no blocking issues are considered launch-ready.

Scoring

How are the category weights determined?

Default weights are based on AWS Marketplace best practices and analysis of high-performing listings. Administrators can customize weights in Settings to align with organizational priorities.

Why is my Compliance score low?

Common reasons for low compliance scores:

  • Missing required fields (pricing, support contact)
