Getting Started with Vellocity

This guide walks you through setting up Vellocity and launching your first GTM campaign in under 20 minutes.

What is Vellocity?

Vellocity is the Market-focused GTM platform for AWS ISV partners. We help you execute go-to-market activities after your listing is live:

  • Co-Sell Campaigns — Partner discovery and joint marketing
  • Content Generation — AI-powered GTM assets at scale
  • Pipeline Tracking — Measure content influence on deals

Market vs Build

Build tools (Tackle, Suger) handle listing creation. Vellocity handles what comes next: generating demand and executing GTM motions.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Vellocity account (sign up here)
  • An active AWS Marketplace listing (use Build tools if you don't have one yet)
  • AWS IAM permissions to create roles (or access to your IAM administrator)

Step 1: Connect Your AWS Account

Connect your AWS account to access Marketplace data and enable AI capabilities.

Quick Setup (5-10 minutes)

Follow our AWS Setup Guide to:

  1. Deploy a secure IAM role using CloudFormation
  2. Validate the connection
  3. Enable AWS Bedrock for AI generation

Enterprise Setup

If you don't have IAM permissions, use our Email IAM Administrator feature to send deployment instructions to your security team. Wizard state is saved so you can continue once deployed.

Step 2: Configure Your Brand Voice

Set up your company context so all generated content aligns with your brand.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Brand Voice

  5. Tone of voice (professional, friendly, authoritative)
  6. Add strategic context:
  7. Target keywords for SEO
  8. Key differentiators vs competitors
  9. GTM goals and messaging priorities

Time required: 5-10 minutes
